Your app may take a few seconds to a minute to respond
Your iKamand should report and display temperatures real time. Occasionally your app may take a few seconds to a minute to display the latest temperatures.
Refresh your app to get the latest temperatures by pulling down on the screen in BBQ mode.
Press the refresh icon on the app BBQ page.
Try closing and reopening your app if you are unable to get the latest temperature.
If you're still not getting temperatures, try logging out and in again.
Use the correct probe
Your iKamand only reports the probes that you are using. Make sure you have the correct probes plugged into the correct jack on the iKamand. The first probe is the pit probe and should be placed an inch above the grill plate.
Make sure probes are plugged in
Your iKamand app may stop updating temperatures if your temperature probes are not plugged in fully. If this is the case, your iKamand app will display a banner warning you that your iKamand probes are not firmly plugged in. Remove the probes and plug them in again, making sure they are firmly pushed in and flush with the surface of your iKamand.
Make sure probes are firmly inserted in the jacks and no moisture is in the jacks
Your iKamand may send 0 degrees Celsius, 32 degrees Fahrenheit, if your temperature probes are not plugged in fully or if they become wet. If this is the case, your iKamand app will not display a banner but the temperature will be 0 C/ 32 F. Remove the probes and plug them in again, making sure they are firmly pushed in and flush with the surface of your iKamand.
Connect your phone to the internet
Your phone needs internet connection in order for the temperatures to be received by the device.
Make sure iKamand is connected to the internet.
Your app may show that the iKamand lost internet connection. If that is the case, the temperatures will stop updating until connection is resumed. See Troubleshooting WiFi and Connection Issues.
